GENERAL OBSERVATIONS
Extreme heat dominated the summer across the Plains, Southwest and Western United States. Drought continues to be an issue in California, while increased rainfall in areas of the US created flash flooding this August.
Harvest preparations in areas like Iowa are in full swing, with early harvest activities beginning in portions of the state that have seen drier conditions.
Internationally our customers in France also reported extreme heat and drought, which seems to have affected many locations in Europe. Ontario and parts of Canada have had a more mild summer and are happy with their current weather.
ORDERING BEHAVIOR
With lingering effects from Covid-19 supply chain and raw material disruption, customer buying has come earlier to help confront production delays and shipping congestion. MIDCO Global has increased seed packet and pollination bag (tassel & shoot bags) production and continues to work with customers to plan around seasonal demands.

PRODUCTS IN DEMAND
Our collection of harvest products is in highest demand right now. We are currently seeing highest demand for Harvest Mesh Bags, Mesh Harvest Aprons, Harvest Tags, and Row Bands. Within seed containment Trifold Storage Envelopes, Tin Tie Bags, and Multiwall SOM Bags are being ordered. Paper seed packets are continually in high demand as orders for early 2023 are being placed. Additional products worth mentioning are MIDCO Global Thermal Pot Stakes.
Wheat planting supplies and forestry pollination supplies (Tree Bags) are being ordered across the northern/central states and southern forestry states respectively.
MIDCO Global’s latest MP44 Multimedia Printer 2.0 for printing on seed packets, garden stakes, tags, pollination bags, row bands is increasing in demand. Completed printers are currently being shipped to Europe, South America, and Central America.
