Our first employee profile features our Senior Sales Manager, Larry Gross.
Larry is a veteran of the agriculture industry. He brings to MIDCO Global a wealth of experience within seed sales, soybean research, and agricultural research equipment sales. Larry’s previous work includes companies like Ciba-Geigy, Asgrow/Monsanto Bayer, and Almaco.
Larry appreciates the connective spirit of agriculture and the deep value relationships hold in the industry. The need for agriculture, sustainable farming, and innovative growing practices are shared across the world and Larry feels purpose in his ability to connect with customers across the globe to support and provide solutions to each of their growing operations.
Prior to working for MIDCO Global, Larry was a customer of MIDCO. He trusted sourcing product for agricultural research from agriculture professionals and appreciated the infinite amount of customizations MIDCO provided. MIDCO’s dynamic customer service made the ordering process much easier. The aspects of MIDCO that made Larry a customer are the same reasons he joined MIDCO Global’s team.
MIDCO’s commitment to customer service and understanding of the product’s function in the field are why MIDCO is a trusted partner season after season with so many of our customers. Larry, like other’s at MIDCO, have been in our customer’s shoes and understand the environment our customers work within and the language specific to their job.
Our sales team regularly visits with customers in the field, at growing stations, greenhouses, and their offices. Larry enjoys reconnecting with colleagues he’s known since the start of his career and seeing the advancements MIDCO has helped create.
Larry’s recent work at MIDCO has included developing and redesigning MIDCO Global’s MP44 multimedia printer. The MP44 multimedia printer is a high speed printing system suitable with variety of agricultural packaging media including data stakes, garden stakes, seed packets, seed envelopes, harvest tags, seed storage bags, clasp envelopes, TriFold envelopes, rowbands, and more.
Other highlights include working on our Seed Treater with Bayer and conducting soybean research on the very first variety of Roundup Ready Soybeans.
Larry’s sales attitude is to be honest and build long term relationships. “MIDCO succeeds when our customers succeed and if there is a product recommendation or referral outside of MIDCO’s offering we’re happy to help our customers anyway we can.”
You can visit with Larry at the Hawaii Ag Conference Show this month, the ASA conference in Baltimore in November, and ASTA in Chicago in September.
